Our country is in the middle of a crisis, and that is one of child abuse. There are over three million children in the U.S. that are victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment. These are only the cases that are reported. In Oklahoma there are over eight thousand abused children. In Clevland County there are over 750 victims of abuse. If nothing is done to intervene in these children lives a large percentage of these kids will end up in prison, involved in drugs, alcohol or prostitution. I have been involved with Child Welfare for over 25 years and seen many programs designed to help children overcome the struggles of being separated from their family as well as the abuse and neglect issues they have endured. I have never seen a program that met the needs of the children like this one does.
